Meet The Team
Founder & International Director
Cheri is a full-time missionary who has served in Kenya for over 30 years and founded Challenge Farm along with her late husband Rick Thompson. Through God's blessings and her efforts Challenge Farm has been a pivotal transformation point not only in the lives of so many children, but the surrounding communities!
Janice is the administrative assistant and works from an office in the U.S. She deals most directly with sponsors and handles so many other things in relation to administration. She also takes short-term trips to the Challenge Farm and paints beautiful murals on the walls!
There are around 70 Kenyan staff that are dedicated to bright futures for these children.
The different staff is made up of administrative & support staff, agricultural workers, social workers, caretakers, mentors, security guards, and maintenance staff.
Sponsors,Advocates & Interns
We are all in this together.
Challenge Farm sponsors help the children have brighter futures by providing kids with love and support to strengthen their soul, spirit, and body. Through sponsorship kids are able to get an education, nourishment, and receive the necessary counseling for spiritual healing.
Thank you to all our faithful beloved sponsors!
Challenge Farm Advocates are responsible for building many of the buildings on the property, have brought all sorts of missions teams, and have hosted events such as 5k races for Challenge Farm to raise support for the mission here. Praise God for the body of Christ working together in unity for the Glory of God of the Father.
Interns usually help for different durations of time depending on availability, and can either work from their home location, or serve at Challenge Farm after an approval process.
